Kärsti
The development team selected Kärsti as the name of the new 52-unit micro apartment project underway at 15th and 59th in Seattle’s growing Ballard neighborhood. Kärst is a Swedish woman’s name and a nickname for Kerstin. It was also the name of a 1970s Swedish punk rock musician, which seemed to fit with the young edgy feel of Ballard and its lively nightlife.
